Drive to the dam, take the walking tour (which is about an hour), then you can decide if you want to stay longer or not and then head out to Red Rock. If you’re into the outdoors and conservation, you’ll want to check out Red Rock. It’s about 15 miles west of Las Vegas and it’s absolutely beautiful. If you go at sunset, the rocks turn into a really gorgeous red. There are also many hiking trails!
The best time to visit Las Vegas is in May and October. You may want to avoid the months of Jan. and Feb. October is really the best time to go because it’s absolutely beautiful. Temperatures are usually in the 80’s during the day so it’s perfect swimming weather.
