france.jpgPerhaps you’ve been thinking about booking a trip to explore one of the most romantic and most expensive international countries in the world? Are you looking for a list of attractions and things to do while you’re there? Let me help you plan your trip to France without even looking at a map.

Believe it or not, there is more than just the Eiffel Tower and the French Riviera. There are many nice places to visit. The Chateau de Versailles is one of them. This has one be one of the most magnificent attractions in France. It was built by Louis XIV in just 40 years and was originally designed to be the capital of France. It is also home to a 200 acre park where the Grand Trianon is located and also Louis XIV’s summer residence. This attraction is about 15 miles west of Paris.

Avignon is also a must-see while in this country. It is home to dozens of theatres and galleries, artists and actors and is extremely unique.

If you have the opportunity, you must travel to the French Alps and take in the legendary ski resorts of France. The French Alps are actually more popular during the summer than during the winter months.

You should also go see the Loire Valley while you are in France. This was once the capital of the French aristocracy during from the 15th to the 18th centuries and has extremely beautiful castles. You can tour the castles and it is highly recommended that you do. The Loire Valley is known to be the “garden of France” and when you’re there, you can savor the very delicious foods and wine of the region.

Of course, Paris should be on your list of places to see while in France. This city is filled with wonderful cafes, boutiques and monuments such as Arc de Triomphe and Basilique du Sacre Coeu. Paris is easily one of the most fabulous cities on the earth. It has tree-lined boulevards, amazing architecture, fashion to die for and great entertainment and style.

Finally, while in France, I’d recommend taking a visit to the vineyards. After all, it is the land of the grape vine! France is known for its historical vineyards and the production of fabulous wines. There are many cellars throughout the region which are open to the public to visit and they hold wine tasting, tours and sales. This is definitely a French experience that nobody should miss!
