Clothing Optional - Find your Jamaican vacation resort

clothing-optional.jpgJamaica is home to some of the top clothing optional beaches in the Caribbean and people love going to these beaches because you can be a naturist and leave your cares, and your clothes, at home.

There are five different clothing optional destinations in Jamaica where you’ll have ample opportunity to work on your tan while getting the chance to enjoy some top-notch accommodations. Each resort has its own unique atmosphere from very laid back to very wild! Some beaches you’ll find are labeled “clothing optional” which leave it totally up to you how much you want to bare, which at others, they’re labeled “nude” which means you’ll be tossing off your entire swimsuit to spend the day in the sun. Here is some information about each resort:

Ocho Rios is for couples only. It’s a very popular all-inclusive resort which has trips to Dunn’s River Falls for its visitors enjoy along with a very large white sandy beach. The clothing optional island is specifically set aside for privacy and a boat will carry you out. The atmosphere here is ideal. It’s very quiet and relaxed.

Hedonism III attracts a younger crowd. The emphasis here is on fun which has activities such as a water slide through a disco and clothing optional activities like shuffelboarding in the buff!

Grand Lido Negril is neighbor to Hedonism II and is much more luxurious. This is an elegant adults-only resort. It’s clothing optional beach features a bar, hot tub, pool and grill. On certain mornings, they even offer a clothing optional cruise.

Grand Lido Braco is about an hour east of Montego Bay. It’s another all-inclusive resort. The nude section of the resort is simply wonderful. It features an expansive pool, swim-up bar, small restaurant, tennis courts, hot tubs and grill.

Hedonism II is very much a party resort. It’s all-inclusive high energy 24 hours a day. Every night is a party and has many clothing optional beaches to choose from. The bars are open until the last person calls it quits. It also offers plenty of natural beauty including coconut palms and banana trees.

These clothing optional resorts are not nudist resorts, so remember to at least pack some clothes for dinner or if you’d need to get inside the hotel for anything. It’s almost important to know that nudity is limited to designated areas. If you decide to visit a clothing optional beach, here is some important info to remember: Don’t think you’ll be taking any photos because cameras are pretty much prohibited. There is usually security to keep an eye on this. Sexual activity is also prohibited. Take along a towel if you decide to go off to the public areas such as the bars, etc. and most importantly, don’t forget your sunscreen!
