Have you ever taken a drive in early fall and stopped to watch a team of kids playing a game of football; European style that is. You see a coach walking onto the field as he starts to teach the players soccer moves. As you watch , you realize that each child has a different level of ability. As they dribble and pass the ball down the field, you begin to notice that they resemble a sports team. Their soccer moves are not quite polished yet because it is only the beginning of the season and there are many games to be played, but they are soccer moves just the same.

Physical conditioning is probably on the top of the list when it comes to soccer moves. The game requires a player to have endurance, stamina and speed. During a typical practice, players will participate in short sprints and distance running. Although this is not the most popular part of practice, it does give the players the stamina required through out the game. The player that has the ability to last the entire game without being exhausted, the player who can accelerate, slow down and turn quickly will have a definite advantage over someone who is looking to take it easy. Conditioning is a vital part of the game, when done correctly, it help to create an atmosphere of excitement, action and fun for everyone involved.
Another of the basics or soccer moves required to play the game is dribbling. Dribbling can be defined as moving the ball down the field by kicking it in quick succession. When dribbling, there are at least two fundamentals to keep in mind. First, the ball should be kept no more than 1.5 ft away from your foot. Secondly, you should never break stride while running with the ball. To assist you in practicing your fancy footwork, here are a few simple drills. Practice running with the ball; start out slowly, as you get better, gradually increase your speed. After you have mastered this exercise, set up some cones or markers (you can use almost anything) and practice dribbling around them.
Soccer moves also include passing the ball. Passing the ball is a way to help the team to keep control of the game, move the ball down the field, past the defense and score goals. Did you know that you can use many parts of your foot to pass the ball? The inside of your foot is used to make short, accurate passes to your teammates while your instep can be used to make longer passes. The outside of your foot is used to pass the ball to the side and your heel can be used to pass the ball backwards. Now that’s soccer moves. To help you improve your passing skills, pick a target and shoot at it or play a game of European football with five players on a team in a small area.. This will cause players to keep moving and making more accurate passes.
It is important for everyone on the team to master these simple soccer moves except, for the goalkeeper. If you feel ambitious, there are a lot more soccer moves to learn. Practicing these simple soccer moves is a way to have fun and enjoy the game.
