Craft - According to the Pittsburgh Steelers
A craft isn’t necessarily a project that you do with your kids or like arts and crafts in school. No, it can be something you are good at. Whether you are a skilled craftsman or you are a great baker, this would be considered your craft. If you look at the game of football you would see many skilled players doing their craft.
You may find that some are better at this then others but none the less it is still their craft. I read some information online recently about Big Ben’ craft of football. I read that this was not his favorite sport to play. Basketball was his number one pick in high school, but he did play football. He went on to college to master his craft and then was picked to play for the Pittsburgh Steelers, who by the way, just won the super bowl. So I guess you could say he is on his way to really mastering his craft of football. Not only is he mastering it he has surpassed so many things for a young quarterback. At 23 years old he has become the youngest played to reach the super bowl.
On this February day in Detroit Ben and his team have played to the best of their ability. It was like a fine art watching some of the plays. Of all the football events, this is the biggest and the best. And that proved to be true, at least for Steelers fans. Now the Steelers products will be in high demand for all the band wagon jumpers that have now decided that Pittsburgh will be their team. Although time will tell how long they stay, or how long they will support this great team. Another Steelers fan that has mastered the craft of football is Jerome Bettis “The Bus” who has now after 10 years of playing football has decided to retire. Coming form a humble background he knows how hard he had to work to master this. Working hard and staying true to who you are, will help you get where you want to be. It may take 10 or even 20 years to get there but in the end well worth it.
I love to watch these guys practice their craft each week and now that the season is over I will have to wait until next year to see where the road leads for the Steelers. Together they can accomplish anything until then we will be flying high after the victory Sunday night in Detroit. Way to go Pittsburgh.
