Christian Books - Recommendations for spiritual growth
There are many resources out there to purchase Christian books. I am a member of a club that sells a variety of Christian books. This club is called Crossings. I signed up for this club at a Women of Faith conference. I received a free Joyce Meyer book on the spot and got to choose three other free Christian books that were sent to me a few weeks later. My only obligation for joining was to make four more purchases over the next two years, which I did in much less time than that. Crossings offers many Christian books at discount prices. There are Christian books written by well known writers and evangelists, such as Joyce Meyer, Max Lucado, Charles Stanley, Stormie Omartian, and Rick Warren. Crossing also sells fiction Christian books, bibles, bible studies, music CDs, DVD and VHS movies, and gift items. When you become a member of Crossings, you will receive a monthly catalog and order form in the mail. You can order the monthly selections and/or any other items of your choice. There are Christian books available on many different topics. Joyce Meyer is one of my favorite evangelists and writers. I love to watch her on television! She tells it like it is and stands firmly on the Word of God! She has written books about physical abuse (Beauty for Ashes), emotions (Managing Your Emotions), and fighting the evil one (Eight Ways to Keep the Devil under Your Feet; Battlefield of the Mind) to name a few. She also has written daily devotionals and has recorded several audio tapes and CDs.
Another author of Christian books who has written a series of publications about prayer is Stormie Omartian. These include Power of a Praying Woman, Power of a Praying Parent, Power of Praying Husband, Power of Praying Wife, and The Prayer That Changes Everything. This offer simple advice on praying for a specific person or persons, specific areas of their lives to pray for, and even includes prayers that you can pray within the book. Although I haven’t read the whole series of these books, those that I have read have made my prayer life better in that I know how to pray for my family and others that I care about.
There is a myriad of Christian books out there that can make such a difference in your daily life and your walk with God. Reading publications such as these will be such a blessing in your life, as they are in mine.
