Holiday Crafts - Easy ideas, right here!

holiday crafts - easy ideas to keep your children busyIf you enjoy doing holiday crafts I can recommend some easy crafts for various holidays.

Holiday crafts can be made as gifts for Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Christmas, and other holidays. I enjoy looking for new (and easy) holiday crafts to do. I enjoy creating gifts and decorations that my family and friends can enjoy for many years to come. Following are some simple, fun and easy holiday crafts that you can do yourself or even with your kids.

Valentine’s Day Project

Make a cute puzzle piece heart into a pin or magnet with these simple instructions.

1.The materials you will need for this craft are puzzle pieces, red or pink spray paint, newspaper, and glue.

2.Spread twenty to twenty-five puzzle pieces on newspaper and spray paint. Do not use the straight edge border pieces.

3.Let the pieces dry and then glue together making the shape of a heart.

4.When glue has dried you can attach a pin packing to make a pin, or attach magnetic stripping to make a magnet.

Mother’s Day Project

Create springtime flowers that will last through spring, summer, fall and winter with this easy craft that can be made for mother and grandmother too!

1.The supplies you will need are bare branches and sticks, tissue paper and glue

2.Cut green and pink tissue paper into one- to two-inch triangles. Use a glue stick to attach the green and pink tissue together.

Shape each pair of tissues into a bud by wrapping them, pink side in, over the point of a dull pencil. Slide the blossom off the pencil and twist the end into a small point. Use craft glue attach the twisted end of the bud to a clean and dry bare branch.

3.When dry, place the branches in a vase.

Christmas Project

One of my all-time favorite holiday crafts that I made was Santa ornaments that I made with my children.

1.First, trace your child’s hand onto white craft foam and then cut out. This is Santa’s beard.

2.Cut out more red craft foam into a curved triangle for Santa’s hat and glue to the white hand.

3.Cut a small circle out of white craft foam and glue to the tip of the hat.

4.Draw on Santa’s eyes, nose and mouth on to the top portion of the white beard.

Try these holiday crafts or look for more holiday crafts and gift ideas on the internet or at your local craft store.
