Now that you have some new recipes to try for your protein shakes, here are some tips to make them even better. If you’ve made your protein shake and the consistence is very thin, try adding some ice cubes or maybe even some frozen fruit. If you’ve made it too thick, try using only ½ of the packet of protein the next time. If you find that your protein shakes aren’t creamy enough, consider using milk with a little bit higher fat content (1% or 2%). Do you like your protein shakes foamy or frothy? Keep it on “fluff” instead of “whip” and keep it on a little longer in the blender. If you’re finding that they’re not sweet enough, add a packet or two of Splenda or maybe some strawberries or a small piece of banana. If you’re looking for more of a vanilla or a chocolate flavor, add some imitation or some real cocoa powder. These will both give it a better flavor without adding on the calories.
Enjoy your new health protein shakes and keep practicing with them until you make them perfect and to your liking. Drink up!
