What foods are you always craving? You usually want something sweet or salty as an evening snack. Junk food has a way of making us want it more and more. It is not good for your body since there is so much fat and preservatives in most foods.
Kids have begun to eat more and more junk food over the years. Fast food dinners, cookies out of a bag, potato chips, breakfast out of the toaster. These foods are not healthy for long term consumption. People are getting lazier, and their nutrition is getting worse every year. No wonder you hear every day on the news about childhood obesity being on the rise and there being more heart attacks than ever.
Junk food adds empty calories to your weight. It might be satisfying to eat cookies and candy, but they will not add protein or calcium to your body. With the addition of all this junk food, there should be more time to exercise since we are not wasting time with meal preparation. It does not seem that we add the time to our daily lives to exercise away these empty calories from the just food we eat. We just seem content to go on as we have been.
We need education in our homes and schools regarding this junk food epidemic. Your health is important. It should be important to let people know how they can lead healthier lives.
