Hamburger Recipes - Tired of the same old, same old?

need a break from that same old same old meatloaf?It seems when ever there is nothing to make in the refrigerator for dinner that night that most Americans resort to ground beef. If you’re like me, you’re probably sick and tired of the “family” meatloaf that more often than once, tastes more like a brick. Try some of my hamburger recipes that have a little “spice” of life in them. The night before grocery shopping doesn’t have to be gross and boring anymore. These hamburger recipes were passed down from my mother and grandmother as a token of banning boring beef!

There is the classic hamburger recipe that involves a pound of meat with an egg, some spices, stuffed with bread crumbs and ketchup. Yea, you guessed it, the dreaded meatloaf mix. Any mother or wife wants everyone at the table to say how delicious their meal was, not checking out the neighbor’s house to see what free food they have! These hamburger recipes will add excitement to that day when there is nothing to cook! The hamburger recipes I’m about to share with you only take a few minutes, a kitchen, and an open mind! I know you have two out of the three, so give it a shot!

First, the “World Famous” Chili, but NOT the spicy way dad makes it where you have to call the fire department to put out the flames in your mouth!!!

Chili (most popular of hamburger recipes)

1 lb. ground beef
Select spices
3 8oz. cans tomato sauce
2 6oz. cans kidney beans (one red, one dark)
1 teaspoon chili powder

1.Brown the meat in a large skillet with onion powder, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
2.Combine with tomato sauce in large pot, and cook on low heat for 5 minutes.
3.Add the kidney beans. Heat.
4.Stir in 1 teaspoon of chili powder, if preferred add more.
5.Taste!
6.Serve!

Next, you could choose to make meatballs (Oooh! Shocker there!) There are much better hamburger recipes out there. Sloppy Joes, beef stroganoff, hamburgers on a bun, and tacos are all burger cooking traditions. Why not add some style to your hamburger recipes? Toss the ketchup and mustard because you won’t need that for your dinner tonight! A hot new restaurant menu item in Lancaster County is Shepherd’s Pie, but you don’t have to drive across the country to get these great hamburger recipes!

Shepherd’s Pie (the short version)

1 lb. ground beef (cooked)
5 medium sized potatoes
½ cup evaporated milk
3 cups chopped veggies (cooked)

Boil, peel and mash potatoes. Mix in milk and beat until smooth. In a large shallow casserole dish, place cooked meat and vegetables. Cover with potatoes and Bake 30 to 40 minutes at 350 degrees. Serve with a biscuit.

There you have the directions to one of the most intriguing hamburger recipes in the country. Just remember to have clean hands and a spoon, to beat off anyone who tries to sneak some before dinner is served! Thousands of people all over America are fed up with their hamburger recipes!
