Dirty Martini - Making the perfect cocktail

dirty-martini.jpgHow can you make the perfect dirty martini? The most important things you want to consider when making a dirty martini are the ratio of mixtures you are using and the ice. You want to make sure your glass is chilled and your shaker and gin have been in the freezer a while. Keep your vermouth at room temperature though! Put three frozen ice cubes into your shaker and add about three parts gin to one part of vermouth.

Ice is a very important part of making a dirty martini. It not only helps to make the cocktail cold, but is also helps to combine the gin and vermouth. The main trick is to not let the ice melt and water down the size of the drink.

Then you have to ask yourself, should I shake, or should I sir my dirty martini? Is there a sign for this? It really all comes down to your preference. Some believe that it’s best to shake it because you need thoroughly mix it so it will bring a wonderful mixture together. Others believe that you need to stir because there is less dilution and better clarity. It’s really up to you. Decide in privacy at home if you need to.
