Tattoo Designs - Thinking about Inking? Read this!

tattoo designs - a trend that is changing itselfSome people choose to get different tattoo designs to reflect a type of personality. They mark their skin with symbols of what they want to portray as a person. There are a lot of stereotypes about why people get “inked”, but my opinion on tattoo designs is this: I think that it is an expression of art. The fashion of today’s generation is changing drastically and tattoo designs are becoming a part of the norm. Chinese tribal patterns are not looked at as punk rocker or gothic; these art forms, among others, are just cute and fashionable. It can even be a way to bond with your family, by going to the parlor and getting the same styles as your dad or mom.

There is a lot of history behind tattoo designs. It dates all the way back to the nomadic races. In some cultures it was done for prestige or rank! Deciding on whether or not to get some great artwork on your arm or back can be a tough decision, but with the beautiful work that some tattooists do these days…your decision doesn’t have to be as painful as the needle they use. If you’re planning on getting “inked” then you need to do your research. There are hundreds of artists in the world and choosing your tattoo designs are only half of the process. Once you’ve found the parlor you’re going to go to, you need to look for cleanliness. You do not want a dirty needle sticking in your body a thousand times, do you?

Look closely at the gallery provided by your artist. Tattoos are something that will most likely stay with you your whole life. Try not to pick something that you won’t like ten years from now. It costs a lot of money to remove tattoo designs. If there isn’t a design that you’re completely positive about getting, try to create your own. Or get a friend to draw one for you. Find something that you will always like; your tattoo designs will be something permanently drawn into your skin, FOREVER! Locate something that works with your true personality.

There is something called flash, these are huge collections of different tattoo designs. They are easy to find on the internet, so get looking! Another thing to try to avoid is common tattoo designs, like tribal. If you’re thinking about getting a design, then you’re probably an individual, so you need to find an individual piece of art. Something that I suggest for a first ink design is your astrology sign, for example Capricorn. The first time you sit in the parlor’s chair, you will be nervous. Small tattoo designs are a safe way to go you’re first time; you won’t have to worry about wanting to stop half way through the process. Using your “sign” as a design will be Ok considering you can’t change your birth date. Another suggestion is going patriotic. If you support the country you live in then that might be a possibility for your design.

Choosing tattoo designs is something that you should put your effort into. There’s no room for mistakes when you’re planning on getting “inked”.
