Outdoor Clothing - Be prepared for the elements!

Whether you are into adventure sports, want to take the family backpacking, or are into the extreme sport of snowboards, outdoor clothing is probably the most important equipment you need to buy.

Outerwear clothes encompass a lot of articles. These will include breathable, fleece style coats and parkas; depending on which activity you are interested in. You want to make sure your coat is breathable so you don’t get overheated, as that will make you cold. Outdoor clothing will also include gloves, preferably made of something waterproof. Footwear is probably the most important if you are going to be doing a lot of hiking or walking. Make sure they are the proper fit, are very comfortable, are big enough to wear a thick pair of socks, and are designed for your foot. In other words, if you are female, don’t buy a men type boot. They have female boots. The same will apply for kids.
Outdoor clothing should be comfortable. Always dress in layers if it is going to be cold outside. This is designed to keep the skin cool, but not let heat escape too fast. Classic layering would be: long underwear, turtleneck, fleece pullover and a jacket. This is also designed so if it is not quite as cold as you thought, you can take layers off.
