The price of getting one will vary, depending where you have it done. Contact your local shop to find out their policy and what it will be. When you get a nipple ring, keep in mind that it will take approximately six to ten weeks to heal and will most likely heal without any problems. It may be tender to the touch for a few days after you have the piercing but it will eventually end in time.

Why would you want to get a nipple ring? For one, it makes the nipples larger and more sensitive which people want to have to feel more sexually attractive in privacy. It also gives a constant stimulation to the nipples and of course overall, is very pleasurable. People also find them sexy.

There is a very large variety of jewelry available for pierced nipples. When you first get your nipple ring, you’ll want to get barbells or D-rings as they are the best for the initial healing period. They heal faster because they don’t move around as much and there is less pressure on the wound. You can get a nipple ring in surgical steel, gold plated steel, 18K gold or white gold. The jewelry can be decorated with beads, crystal balls or pendants.

After you get your nipple ring, once you’re home, remove the bandage after approximately five hours and take a shower to prevent infection. Try to cup your hand under the piercing and soak it in warm water for about five minutes or if you don’t have a shower, try doing this in the bath. Don’t be alarmed if there is any blood. You will want to make sure you buy the following product and items and have them on hand for aftercare of your nipple ring: Triclosan based antibacterial solutions – either Physohex or Sapoderm are recommended, lavender oil (either essential oil or the medicinal grade), sea salt, gauzes, paper towels, clean glass or a small plastic medicine cup, and B vitamins and zinc to help promote the healing of your nipple ring.

Make sure that you always wash with your anti-bacterial soap after you’ve been swimming in a pool or in the ocean. Wash your nipple ring carefully after sweating or exercising and it could possibly become aggravated by the sweat. If you are female, wear your bra to bed at night so the body piercing doesn’t move much. Men can use a surgical tape but remove it during the day as you don’t want it to become infected. Don’t pick at your scab either! Let it heal on its own.
