Spongebob - Everything you want to know!
Who is Spongebob squarepants? I have put this show off as long as possible. I tuned several times in privacy, before my child could watch. She also had to be 5 before she started watching. Rights of 5 year old, you know! Here’s where I think we should start.
“Are you ready kids? I I captain, I can’t hear you, I I captain. Who lives in a pineapple under the sea? Absorbent and yellow and porous is he.”
This is the opening song. Spongebob is a yellow sponge who lives in bikini bottom along with all these other interesting characters. The other characters in the TV show include: Patrick Star, Squidward Tentacles, Mr. Eugene Krabs, Gary the snail, Pearl Krabs, and Sandy Cheeks. Spongebob works at the krusty krab a restaurant that serves krabby patties. Unlike most of us, Spongebob loves his job and would work there 24 hours a day and he did in one episode.
Plankton is the evil one in Spongebob. He owns the Chum bucket which is across the street from the krusty krab. Plankton wants the secret krabby patty formula. Mr. Krabs owns the krusty krab he loves money. Pearl is his daughter. Spongebob is the cook at the krusty krab he cooks krabby patties. Spongebob also enjoys jellyfishing and blowing bubbles. These are things that he usually does with his friend Patrick the pink starfish. Patrick is Spongebob’s neighbor who lives under a rock.
Squidward is his grouchy neighbor. He gets annoyed with him and Patrick. In one episode Squidward gets annoyed by the guys having a snowball fight. When he goes outside to tell them to stop he decides he wants to play and builds a snow tower. The guys get bored and are inside sipping hot chocolate and Squidward is outside playing by himself. Another one of his friends is Sandy Cheeks, a squirrel from Texas, who lives in the sea. She needs to wear an air helmet and lives in a dome filled with air that has a tree in it. Him and Sandy play karate together and try to see who is the toughest. And we can’t forget Gary who is his pet snail who meows like a cat.
This hit Nickelodeon cartoon has exploded into a phenomenon. There are video games, books, leappad games, cereal, macaroni and cheese, and music CD’s. There has even been a movie that has been at the top of the reviews. All in all Spongebob Squarepants is actually pretty funny even for adults. Check the page for other links and have fun!
