Mini Golf - Maxi fun!

Mini GolfAre you looking for a fun place to take the family this summer?  Try a relaxing game of mini golf.  You will most likely find many courses close by that you didn’t know existed.  For one, did you know there is a mini golf course at Dutch Wonderland?  At most shore points you will find them too, so while you’re at the beach you and the family can enjoy this entertaining sport.  Most mini golf courses charge about $6 for adults and $4 per child and offer a group discount for those planning a party.  Some will also offer you a free game if you get a hole in one on the 18th hole.

This is a great way to celebrate a birthday and parties are always welcomed if planned in advance, so make sure you call ahead to make your reservations.  At most mini golf locations you will find an ice cream parlor nearby to cool off with your favorite treat.  Add a cake, candy and presents and let the fun begin!  So contact your nearest mini gold course and make sure it’s not already reserved for someone else before you start planning that special birthday party.

Miniature golf is also a fun way to teach eye and hand coordination to children.  Unlike the real game of golf, this one is played for fun, not competitively.  There are no real winners or losers in the game of mini golf because it is meant for family fun.  Mini golf is also a great way to introduce your child to sports in a relaxed setting away from home.  Then you won’t have to worry about the ball crashing through your window while they are practicing!

They will find windmills, bridges, castles, cascading waterfalls, and all kinds of other obstacles they can test their skills at. Some mini golf courses let you choose the level of difficulty of the game so be sure to pick the level of difficulty suitable to all those who will play.

While you are there, be sure to observe the rules of good sportsmanship and that of the establishment you are visiting to ensure a fun time for all.

Before taking your children to the mini golf course you can introduce them to the sport online and challenge them to a game you can download from an arcade game site.  Select as many players as needed and have a great time giving it your best shot.  This would be a great opportunity to teach them the rules of the game and show them how to keep score.  Once you arrive at the mini golf course they will more likely have pleasant experience.
