You have waited nine long months, and the day has finally arrived! You are getting to bring your baby home! If you are like most new Mom’s, dressing your little one in infant clothing is going to be a lot of fun! All girls spent hours and hours dressing your baby dolls up when you were a little girl! Now you are a Mom and you get to dress your precious little one up in great infant clothing!
A great place to look for infant clothing is online in the privacy of your own home. When you have a newborn, you don’t get a lot of time away from home, so this is a great option. There are a lot of great sites to look at. From pricey and couture, to normal and regular priced infant clothing.
You have to keep in mind that babies grow out of their clothing very fast, especially if you have been blessed with a preemie. Try not to get wild with the cute, adorable clothes out in the department stores. These won’t last long and you won’t get your money’s worth.
The best infant clothing you can invest in would be onesies and sleepers. This is pretty much the wardrobe of choice for an infant. All they do is sleep and eat at this stage. It’s a little ridiculous to dress them up, just for them to go to sleep in the neat outfit. Definitely get a cute outfit for pictures and special occasions.
If you do want to go shopping for infant clothing, pack up all the accessories you will need for your trip, wear comfortable sneakers, and head out to the mall. This is great exercise, and most likely the baby will sleep the whole time. Go with another Mom and make a day of it. Babies also love the stimulation, and when they get tired, they will just go to sleep and you can go shopping in peace.
Most department stores will have an infant clothing department. Check out the bargains and definitely take Nanny or Grandma along. They love to buy the cute little outfits!
Another great place to get infant clothing at a cheap price will be yard, or tag sales. Clothes at this age don’t wear out, and you can get great bargains and your little one will look adorable! Let someone else spend all the top end money, you will be able to get it for a fraction of the price, and you won’t blow your budget.
