Baby Clothing - Be practical!
You finally have your precious newborn home from the hospital and you are learning how to become a Mom or Dad. Now you have to buy baby clothing! There is so much to choose from! The main thing to concentrate on is that they are going to grow very fast! The cute baby clothing in the fancy boutiques are great, and a fantastic item for Nanny or Pappy to buy, but you need to concentrate on the normal baby clothing.
A great way to shop is online in the privacy of your own home. Almost every store has baby clothing. If you really want some of the name brand clothing for your little one, check out their clearance areas. You can begin your search online and then take your ideas of what you want to shop for to the mall. You can get some great bargains! This is also a great way to shop for the all-important christening gowns, unless there is one in the family that other members have worn.
Some nice brands to buy baby clothing from are: Carters, Eddie Bauer, Bella, Sears, JCPenney’s. The main staple in baby clothing would be the onesies and sleepers. Your newborn will be spending a lot of time in these. Once they are a little older, bibs look very adorable on boys or girls.
It is great exercise to take your little one out to the mall, push them in a stroller, and browse the stores for baby clothing. Sales racks are a great way to stock up for the next level of baby clothing you will need. Make sure you know what size they will be for that upcoming season.
Another place to shop for baby clothing is discount stores and yard or tag sales. Remember that babies grow out of clothes fast and most won’t even look worn. These are great places to get bargains and your little one will look beautiful.
Always keep in mind that the clothes you buy today may not be worn next month! If you buy wisely and frugally, you will have more money to spend on other items. Babies are expensive and once they become kids, don’t get any cheaper. So if you decide now that you will buy one or two nice expensive outfits, and fill in the rest with lower priced items, this trend will continue even when they get older!
