It’s the end of the day; you’re turning out the lights and getting between the sheets with your loved one. Now all you need are the perfect love songs to make your night right. Romantic music can go a long way to get you and that special person in the mood for a passionate night. I know there are quite a few love songs out there that get me in the mood for romance. They may not be the greatest love songs of all time, nor the most popular, but I want to share some love songs that melt my heart, and they’re definitely classic in my page.
One great song that everybody and their mother has heard by now would be “I’ll Make Love to You” by Boyz II Men. The lyrics may be a little obvious and blunt, but hey, the song is a classic. Personally, the song is a little played out for me, but if you haven’t heard it thousands of times, it’s definitely a great mood kicker…and it surely gets the point across. “Open Arms” and “Always Be My Baby” by Mariah Carey are some nice love songs to play for your honey. It’s hard enough for women to find nice love songs that remind them of their significant other…Mariah’s definitely an artist we can rely on to men a nice point of view on women’s’ feelings. Some other love songs to make your heart melt: “Cupid” by 112: just something about the beat will put you in the mood; “Untitled” by D’Angelo (having the video play might not be a bad idea either, the man has a great body); “Love” by Musiq “A Woman’s Worth” by Maxwell and 911 by Wyclef and Mary J. Blige. Now granted, all these love songs have two things in common: they’re R&B and they’re great love songs from a woman’s point of view. You want to know what men consider great love songs…ask a man. You want some great rock love songs or pop love songs; I’m not your girl either. I’m an R&B fan when it comes to romance.
