Catherine Zeta-Jones was born on September 25, 1969 in Wales to a working class family. She also has two brothers. As a young child, she was very interested in the entertainment industry. She sung and danced in musicals to local stardom as part of her church’s performing theater as a ten year old.
As a teenager, Catherine Zeta-Jones stared on stage in many different productions such as “Annie”, “Bugsy Malone”, and “The Pajama Game”. In the early 90’s she starred in a television comedy/drama series for Yorkshire Television.
Catherine Zeta-Jones made her Hollywood screen debut in 1998 playing opposite Anthony Hopkins and Antonio Banderas in The Mask of Zorro. She has since starred in big box office movies such as Entrapment, The Haunting and Traffic.

She proved that she is both a trained dancer and singer when she starred in the musical movie Chicago with Richard Gere and Renee Zellweger. They all proved to the world that they weren’t just celebs who could act, but could also dance and sing. Richard Gere took tap lessons for three months prior to filming. Her fans also agreed that she could sing and dance as well as act. The film did very well!
