Peasants - Fighting for freedom throughout the ages
Throughout the ages, peasants can be found in all cultures. These are the people who have very little money but ban together as a community when times get a little tough. These people are brave beyond belief, and stand up for what they believe in, no matter what the cost to them.
Peasants are very poor, but will share all they have with those they love and trust. There are times when they do not have enough to eat, but they just work harder to make sure they do in the future. These are the brave souls that are a great addition to any culture they live in.
Throughout history, if there has been a war, most likely the peasants have been fighting in it to obtain their freedom. They fought for the right to their own fields to do their farming in, and the right to live their lives as they choose. They need their own farms to sustain their families so they can eat too.
Peasants have also fought over the years for a home of their own. One where a rich lord does not own the land where they live and farm on. This right has always been denied to them, and they struggle to change this. Food is a necessity, and they want the right to eat as much as they want to.
Bound by their lack of prosperity, and lack of education, peasants have fought for a better life for themselves and their families. They did not want to be at the bottom of the food chain wondering when they were going to be beaten by those more wealthy and more educated than they were.
The upper class could always afford to go to war, while peasants struggled with this aspect of life. They sought the ability to be free and live their lives as they saw fit, rather than how someone told them to live it. This has been at the center of most of the conflicts between the rich and the poor.
Peasants wanted a humble abode to call their own, and the upper class wanted someone they could control with little or no effort. This is no way to live, so the peasants decided to have an up-rising to win their freedom. Even today, the poor people of the world control those with less money. The poor people still fight for their freedom, and it is denied to them by those that are more wealthy.
