Antelope - An amazing creature to see in the wild

AntelopeThe antelope is a large mammal that greatly resembles a deer.  These creatures live in wooded areas and live off of the land.  They bear offspring in the spring and care for their your until they can fend for themselves.  It is rare to see these magnificent creatures in the wild since they are so timid and flee at the first sound of danger they hear.

Antelope care for their family as most animals do.  They give birth in the late winter or early spring and care for their offspring until they are able to care for themselves.  They provide milk, shelter and protection for their young.  They even take their young with them when they go for food so their young can figure out what they will need to do when they get older.

Any contact with the outside world will send the antelope fleeing.  They are very timid and just want to live their life in peace without the fear of humans.  They will run at the first sound of danger.

Antelope are about the size and height of a white-tail deer.  They make their home on the floor of the forest.  They can vary in color from almost black to almost white.  These creatures rarely go out into open areas unless they are looking for food.  They are uneasy about being in places that they could be caught unaware and be harmed or killed.

You can usually find antelope in the north.  These are the areas that are more heavily wooded and provide more cover for these creatures.  They have lived a long time on this planet because they are smart about where they make their home.

Antelope are animals that can adapt to almost any environment if they are forced to.  They can also be found in the plains of Africa.  These mammals like areas that have a constant water supply and access to shelter from predators.  They also like these areas to give birth to their young.

It is an amazing sight to see an antelope out in the wild.  These creatures flee at the first sign of danger. If you see one out in the open, try not to frighten it.  They are timid enough without adding any more fears to their life.

The antelope has the ability to run at twenty five miles per hour for long distances.  If they sense your presence near them, it is a sure bet they will run away before you even get the chance to see them.  Count your blessings if you ever do see an antelope out in the wild!
