Ant - A very industrious creature
The ant is an industrious creature that is no stranger to hard work. This creature can work tirelessly all day long for the good of the entire colony. It is creatures like this that really show you what motivation and hard work can do for a large group.
You can search throughout the world for a lazy ant, but the closest you will find is the queen ant. Most ants have no end to their stamina and their ability to work. It is just pure instinct that drives them to work hard every day of their life. The need to provide food for growing ants and the queen.
An ant works with no end to keep their home in top shape. At a size of between three centimeters for the smallest ants to about an inch and a half, ants really work hard for their size. These creatures can carry three times as much as they weigh on their backs for up to half a mile. It is really quite incredible. It would be like the average human carrying five hundred pounds on their back for a half of a mile. That is a hard task to follow!
You can find ants anywhere when the temperature is above freezing. The ant is a pesky creature that can be really annoying if you are not careful. If there is a time when an ant feels that their colony is threatened, they will send out a chemical signal to the other members of the colony to be on the lookout. They will all protect the colony until death.

Their ability to work for hours without rest means no one in the colony will be hungry at night. It really shows you that if a group works together for a common cause, they can accomplish almost anything they want to. People should work this hard for a common cause.
