Weekly news papers are common and are usually smaller and definitely less prestigious than most daily newspapers. They also now use computers, graphics software and digital cameras for their production. This has enabled them to publish color photos and graphics and have their news papers look more attractive.
Most news papers make a large portion of their money from advertising. Because of this, newspapers are not expensive to buy and some are even free. The part of the newspaper that is not advertising is called the editorial content or just editorial. Many news papers that are paid for have a multitude of subscription plans so that people can have them delivered directly to their doorsteps instead of having to go to the local stand to pick them up. Many news papers also offer some if not all of their content online on their website which is sometimes free or sometimes provided at a low cost.
