Many kids have begun carrying cell phones in school. Whether this is now the cool thing to do or because these children have a compulsion to talk on their phones remains to be seen. Kids everywhere seem to be bring their cell phones in school every day across the nation.
Many schools have allowed cell phones in schools in the past. Teachers have really been protesting this in the recent past. Kids talk on their phones or text message their friends during class, and disrupt the entire lesson plan with their thoughtlessness. Everyone’s education gets disrupted. Kids do not seem to get as much work done with cell phones in school. They spend more time playing games and messing with their ring tones than they do getting an education. Teachers want this to stop. Some parents give their child a phone to make emergency calls only. What they do not know is that their kids are using them far more frequently. Cell phones in school have become quite the hot topic for many schools.
Technology has come a long way over the years. Twenty years ago, this issue was unheard of. Now kids carry cell phones in school by the millions every day. This can allow them to disrupt an entire class. They can save answers for a test on their phone and display the answers when the test is at hand. It really creates quite a dilemma for school officials.
Many schools have begun to ban cell phones in school. Students caught carrying them can risk confiscation, detention, or even suspension. The administrators feel this was necessary because the problem had gotten out of hand. There is a time and place for a cellular phone. Cell phones in school is not the time or the place. Kids already have enough problems concentrating on what they are learning, why add another obstacle to their path?
