There are many paper crafts you can make that don’t take a lot of time or money. Paper Crafts magazine and website offers many ideas for projects you can make. Paper crafts can include greeting cards, gift tags, place cards, invitations, wedding and baby announcements, gift envelopes, and stationery. You can use rubber stamps, buttons, fabric, photographs, and ribbon–almost anything to make special and unique paper crafts. Laminated Greeting Cards
Supplies you will need: Ruler, craft knife, colored card stock, cream-colored lighter weight stock, skeleton leaves, craft glue, spray adhesive, lace, hole punch, raffia
1.Cut and fold colored card stock. Cut cream-colored stock ¼” smaller than card front. Cut lace paper to fit the front of card.
2.Use a glue stick to affix the cream-colored stock to the card front.
3.Carefully add dots of craft glue to the leaves, then press onto the cream-colored stock.
4.Spray the front of the card entirely with the adhesive.
5.Position the lace onto the front of the card and press firmly with your fingers to smooth out.
6.Punch two holes in the upper left-hand corner of the card and insert al length of raffia. Tie a loose bow or knot.
Stamped All-Purpose Gift Tags
Supplies you will need: Rubber stamps, black ink pad, white card stock, scissors, colored card stock, glue stick, colored markers, corrugated or thick cardboard, mini-hole punch, color-coordinated ribbon
1.Select an appropriate hart-shaped stamp with or without a message. Stamp the image onto white card stock using the black ink pad.
2.Trim around the edge of the image.
3.Use a glue stick to affix the cut image onto the colored card stock. Cut closely around the colored card stock leaving about 1/8” of colored stock.
4.Use colored markers to decorate the stamped designs. Select colors that complement the card stock.
5.Cut a ½” square from the cardboard. Use a glue stick to affix the square to the folded card, then glue stamped message to the top of the square.
6.Punch hole in upper corner of the card. Thread ribbon through hole, then tie it into a bow or hanging loop.
Holiday Stocking Place Cards
Supplies you will need: printed vellum, burgundy, red, or green card stock, white or off-white card stock, craft glue, gold marking pen, cardboard
1.Make a stocking pattern out of cardboard.
2.Trace the stocking onto both the vellum and colored card stock and cut out.
3.Use glue to bond the two layers together. Add a cuff at top of stocking in a solid card stock color.
4.Make a stitching pattern around the edge of the stocking using the gold marking pen
5.Write a guest’s name on a place card cut from the white or off-white stock, which is cut to fit the stocking and tuck in top of stocking.
