For the equine lovers, in your circle of friends, finding that perfect present will be an easy task, as a multitude of horse gifts abound for all ages and both sexes. From the expectant mom, to the elderly, a wide range of attractive horse gifts are available online. Ordering, gift wrapping choices, and shipping can all be done without leaving the privacy of your home – which is always a big plus for me. During my search, I was able to locate many appealing items, and below are just some of the many horse gifts to be had.
Expectant Parent And Baby Horse Gifts
For your equine enthusiast friend, who is expecting a child, I was able to locate a number of unique and suitable horse gifts for the nursery. Available is a beautifully decorated miniature rocking pony, which is packaged with a knitted shawl blanket, terry velour burp cloth, terry washcloth, booties, and cuddly teddy bear. This makes a nice present for mom and dad, as well as the baby who will later be able to ride on the rocker.
Another thoughtful item, which is less expensive, is a lovely hand-crafted Baby Dream Book for the expectant parent to write journals in. The cover is hand-made with a hand-crafted rocking pony, which is made from molded paper and imported ribbons. You will even have a choice of a calligraphy written phrase, such as, “A baby is God’s opinion that the world should go on”, which will be inscribed on the cover.
A simple - but very sweet - nursery item is a naturally colored and soft stuffed pony, which plays “Home on the Range”. If a nursery is being furnished, in an equine-themed motif, available is a hand painted and sculpted lamp complete with a lampshade, which reflects the horse’s silhouettes when lit. Reproduction lithophane night lights, which illuminate 3D images, are also nice horse gifts for the designer nursery.
Horse Gifts For The Young Female Child
For a young girl, horse gifts are plentiful. How about a hand-crafted music box, which has a twirling pony that plays a country song, rather than the traditional ballerina? I even found a limited edition collectible carousel with Tiffany glass. If a young girl enjoys crafts, she will have fun creating mugs. For a young boy, horse gifts are also plentiful. Many corral play sets, which include the barn, horses, and all animal accessories, will provide a child with a good form of entertainment for hours on end. I also located very nice Breyer play horses, many of which are collectibles. Another great gift is a chapter book, or a series of books that feature horses. I was really impressed with the Lakota series, which was written by Joseph Bruchac. A young boy is sure to get wrapped up in the story of, “Crazy Horse’s Vision” or, “A Boy Called Slow”. Those books can be found on the Amazon web page. A very useful present is a sleeping bag. I found many handsome sleeping bags designed with horses and Wild West scenes. Equine pencils and puzzles also make good horse gifts, especially if looking for an inexpensive, but nice token item.
Unisex Horse Gifts
When thinking about horse gifts, make sure to check out the educational stores. There are computer games, which teach about equine care, and also PC games that even allow a child the opportunity to pretend they’re in an equine competition. For the child who loves board games, you may wish to buy, “HORSE-OPOLY”. The game is very cute, and instead of property, the board is marked by different breeds of horses, and each card teaches the child about a specific breed. The pieces consist of a bail of hay, saddle, horseshoe, trailer, bag of oats, or a boot. Instead of real estate, the child will buy barns and trade them in for stables. Sounds like a lot of fun!
