Crafts - A great way to keep little hands busy

get your child doing crafts, today! With Valentines Day quickly approaching I am sure you will be looking for some great Crafts to do with your kids. They will want to make Crafts for Mommy, Daddy, Their grandparents and their teacher. Some kids might think of Valentines Day as a holiday filled with all that mushy stuff. You know … love. Love as far as kids are concerned is not a roses and champagne kind of holiday or emotion. For them love is Mom and Dad or a pet. I have listed some ideas that are very easy for children to do. These ideas offer a unique way for kids to say I Love You.

The first of the eight Crafts is a candy necklace.

You can give this fine piece of jewelry to your Mom or Dad or anyone you like. The materials you will need for this craft are some plastic wrap. Individually wrapped candies, ribbon and about an hour of time the next craft, also made with candy takes a little under an hour to make. You will need the following supplies a six inch skewer, pack of gum gumdrop heart glue and tissue paper.

The next idea I will tell you about cost very little to make and doesn’t take a lot of time to assemble. It is a sweet nothing box. If you have Valentines Day cards form a previous year you will need them for making this project. Also needed for making this is wrapping paper, of any color scissors bric-a-brac cardboard box and glue. Most of the items you can find around your house for the Crafts I listed. If you can’t find an item they are usually available at your local craft store. These are fun easy projects that your kids will love to make.

Crafts aren’t just for holidays; I always try to have a Craft to do at my oldest daughter’s birthday parties for all her friends. Some of the Crafts we have done have been making gingerbread houses. The girls loved decorating those houses the decorations were inexpensive and they were completely edible.

Other Crafts we did were making Christmas ornaments, since her birthday is so close to Christmas. We purchased some inexpensive wood ornaments, craft paints, ribbon and glue. We had everything else at the house already. They painted the wooden ornaments and sprinkled on glitter, and then we glued some string on the back so they could hang on the tree.

One of the last Crafts we did was a scrap booking card. Each girl brought photos from home of their family and we designed a card. It was a lot of fun and it made a great homemade present for them to take home. Homemade Crafts make great gifts.

Most of these projects are available online free of charge. You just click the site you want and get to making all kinds of Crafts.
