Craft Store - A crafter’s heaven
Are you looking for a craft store in your area or an online craft store? Whether you are an experienced crafter or a novice, the options are endless when looking for a craft store that carries the supplies that fit your creative needs.
A craft store that I like is ACMoore, which has locations everywhere as well as an online store. ACMoore has a great selection for your crafting needs. From wood crafts to needlepoint, rubber stamps to artificial flowers, they have it all.
Another craft store that is very similar to ACMoore is Michaels. They also have locations everywhere as well as an online store. I tend to go to ACMoore more often than Michael’s simply because ACMoore has been in my area longer. Both of these stores offer great sales on many items on a regular basis. They often run coupons in newspaper circulars as well.
Both ACMoore and Michaels offer instructional classes on a wide variety of crafts and hobbies, including knitting, cake decorating, painting, jewelry making and flower arranging. They also offer crafts and classes for children. Check with your local craft store location for class dates, times, and for registration information for the crafts or hobby class you are interested in.
Another craft store I frequent is Joanne’s Fabric. Joanne’s doesn’t have quite as large a selection as ACMoore or Michaels when it comes to craft supplies; however, they have a large selection of fabric, which the other two stores do not, at least the stores in my area don’t. Joanne’s also carries seasonal decorations and ornaments for Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, Easter, Halloween, and Christmas. It seems that whenever I go in the seasonal items are always on sale. Of course after a holiday, especially Christmas, there are deep discounts on the holiday items.
Another great resource for crafts is Wal-Mart. Although Wal-mart isn’t know for crafts, the store in my area has a great selection of supplies for crafters.
You can shop these stores and others online. One online craft store, which you can also shop by catalog, is Oriental Trading. Oriental Trading offers many little toys, party supplies, and trinkets by units or lots at very reasonable prices. They also sell arts and crafts kits, mostly for kids, by units of 12 or more. These are great to make for school projects, Sunday school crafts, birthday parties, or anywhere you have a group of kids gathered and you want a fun activity to do.
There are many other craft store websites online. Whichever you choose, local or online, you can be sure you will find exactly what you need for that special project.
